Illusory Unfairness

When people say that life or the universe is unfair, I think they are mistaken. The universe is not unfair. Saying so is just a lot of self pity for not getting what you want or think you deserve. Quite opposite to this, I believe the universe exhibits the hardest, sharpest, most devastating kind of fairness: indifference to all.

And this is quite a bleak and desolate thought to ponder for those who confuse God with the universe.
